Memphis, TN — March 4, 2026
Students at Germantownshire Elementary School will have a chance to explore exciting high-tech career opportunities when Soaring 2 Success participates in the school’s annual College and Career Day on March 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Soaring 2 Success has recently been approved by the State of Tennessee to offer Pre-Apprenticeship Drone Training Programs, giving youth a direct pathway into one of today’s fastest-growing industries. These programs introduce students to professional drone operations while helping them develop job-ready technical and personal skills that can lead to higher-paying careers.
The pre-apprenticeship program trains participants to operate drones in real-world environments such as:
Solar Farms
Warehouse Inspections
Construction Safety
Bridge Inspections
Airport Security
Search and Rescue
Graduates of the program gain valuable workforce skills that can increase hourly wages by $10–$15 per hour.
Soaring 2 Success works in collaboration with the Lt. Col. Luke J. Weathers Jr. Foundation and The Day Academy Network, Inc. to support underserved youth in exploring aviation and drone technology careers. Program leadership includes Cedric Divine (Soaring 2 Success), Albert Glenn (Lt. Col. Luke J. Weathers Jr. Foundation), and Anthony Boyce (The Day Academy Network).
At Germantownshire Elementary’s Career Day, students from Pre-K through 5th grade will be able to explore interactive, hands-on presentations that introduce them to future career possibilities in a fun, age-appropriate way.
